Vaginal Candida Symptoms And Causes

Vaginal Candida Symptoms And Causes

Candida symptoms often does not go away completely, or are absent for just a limited time. Here are some tips on how you can avoid a relapse of a yeast infection:

Avoid moisture in your vaginal area: For example nylon pantyhose does not allow that specific area to breath – so avoid wearing a pair of nylon pantyhose all day long. Spandex or silk panties will prevent the same area from ventilation, so, you will better use some cotton panties. Tight fitting clothes will bring the same problem – lack of aeration in your genital area.

Also some “bathroom tips” can be used to prevent a vaginal candidiasis. Wipe from back to front – the colon is a reservoir for Candida and some bacteria that can cause vaginal infections. Wiping the right way will prevent spreading of Candida and bacteria in your genital area.

Use the blow dryer to dry up your genital area. If you had a bath in a bathing suit, remove the wet suit as soon as it is possible.

Some products should be avoided if you undergo a treatment for vaginal yeast infection: colored or perfumed toilet paper, douches, feminine hygiene sprays, deodorant sanitary pads or tampons, bubble bath create an imbalance of acidity level, which will lead to Candida overgrowth.

Before you’ll decide what kind of treatment will you take, make sure to see a doctor, because some STD’s can mime a yeast infection. It is very important for at least the first time to be diagnosed by a doctor. There are various treatments for vaginal yeast infection: from a single capsule taken by mouth to creams and suppositories applied locally. Some of those remedies are given by prescription, others are OTCs. It is up to you what remedy to use: what you think is more appropriate to you, the one you can use comfortably.

And remember, in some cases (it happens very rare) you can spread the Candida infection to your sexual partner. To find out more about yeast infection treatment, check out my Candida symptoms site.
